Prop Firm News Trading Calendar: FOMC, CPI & NFP Dates vs Each Firm’s Rule (Q4 2026)

Last updated: 2 October 2026 The prop firm news trading calendar for Q4 2026. Every scheduled FOMC decision, CPI and jobs report (NFP) from now to mid-December, taken from Federal Reserve and BLS schedules, alongside each firm’s news-trading rule in its own words.

Key findings · checked 2 October 2026

8 scheduled US releases between now and mid-December 2026. FOMC decisions on 28 October and 9 December; CPI on 14 October, 10 November and 10 December; jobs reports (NFP) on 2 October (today), 6 November and 4 December. Dates come from the Federal Reserve and the BLS.

No-trade windows range from none to ±5 minutes. Tradeify has no news rules. Take Profit Trader’s PRO accounts must be flat ±1 minute around FOMC, NFP and CPI. FTMO’s funded Standard accounts, The5ers’ High Stakes accounts and MyFundedFutures use ±2 minutes. Topstep blocks new mini opens ±5 minutes around CPI. Goat Funded Trader caps profit at 1% within ±5 minutes.

The rules often change between the evaluation and the funded account. FTMO’s restriction doesn’t apply in the Evaluation. MyFundedFutures’ Rapid table says news trading is allowed in the evaluation but bans tier-1 news on Sim Funded accounts. Take Profit Trader’s rule is written for PRO accounts.

Three firms name these events explicitly. Take Profit Trader and FTMO name FOMC, NFP and CPI, and Topstep names CPI. Others use “high-impact news” as defined by a calendar such as ForexFactory, so check the firm’s own calendar.

CPI and NFP come out at 8:30 AM ET (BLS). The Fed’s calendar gives meeting dates. Take Profit Trader describes FOMC statements as coming on “Wednesdays at 2:00 PM ET”, and both 28 October and 9 December are Wednesdays. The right-hand column lists only firms whose rule names that event, plus MyFundedFutures, whose policy covers all news releases. Firms that use “high-impact news” (The5ers, Goat Funded Trader) define it with their own or a third-party calendar.

Methodology

FOMC dates come from the Federal Reserve’s FOMC calendar page, downloaded 2 October 2026. CPI and Employment Situation dates and times come from the BLS release schedules, read through a web reader on 2 October 2026 because the BLS blocks our automated fetches. Firm rules come from each firm’s help pages, saved on 2 October 2026 (FundedNext’s on 1 October). Apex’s and Tradeify’s pages were read through a web reader. Every quote was checked word for word. Release dates can change, as can firm rules, so check the source before you trade. This is information, not trading advice. Related: Rules Glossary, Drawdown vs Volatility and Open Rules Dataset.
