Last updated: 2 October 2026 How hard is it to actually get paid? For one common account at each of 9 prop firms, we read the firm’s own payout rules and logged the split, the wait, the minimum, the caps, the buffer, the consistency rule and the fees. These are the firms’ published terms, not a record of payouts actually made. Every value links to the page it came from, and the CSV has the exact wording.
The short version
Apex’s “100% split” comes with every hurdle we track. On a 50K Apex Intraday account you need 5 trading days of $200+ profit, a balance of $52,600, and no day worth 50% or more of your profit. The first payout is capped at $1,500, and after 6 payouts the account closes. Add up its published caps and the most a 50K account can ever pay out is $14,500.
The fastest payouts come with a buffer. MyFundedFutures Rapid lets you request 24 hours after your first trade and Take Profit Trader PRO on day one. But you first have to build a $2,100 (MFF, 50K) or $2,000 (TPT, 50K, a $52,000 balance) cushion. The forex-style firms skip the buffer and make you wait instead: 14 days at FTMO, The5ers and Goat Funded Trader, 21 days at FundedNext.
On 50K futures accounts, the cap matters more than the split. Topstep pays 90% but caps each Express Funded request at 50% of your balance, up to $2,000. Tradeify Growth pays 90% and caps the first payout at $1,500. A 90% vs 100% split is worth $150 on a $1,500 payout. The cap decides whether you get the $1,500 at all.
Getting paid can cost you, too. The5ers takes “3.5% per withdrawal” on every cash method (none if you take store credit). Topstep charges $30 for ACH or wire. Take Profit Trader charges $50 to withdraw $250 or less from its wallet. FTMO says it “does not charge any additional commissions for Reward withdrawals.”
Your payout rules depend on when you bought. We found 5 live terms that differ by purchase date. Tradeify cut the Select Flex 50K cap from $3,000 to $2,500 for accounts bought after 1 September 2026. FundedNext’s 1-Step split dropped from 90% to 80% for accounts bought from 12 January 2026. See the Rule Change Index for the full history.
Hurdles before the first payout
We count five common conditions a funded trader has to clear before the first payout. It’s a plain count, with no weighting: a 14-day wait and a $2,000 buffer each count as one. “Not stated” means we didn’t find the rule on the firm’s payout page. That isn’t the same as “no rule”.

Apex and Tradeify block automated requests to their help centers, so their rows come from Wayback Machine copies of the payout pages captured on 26 September 2026, six days before this check. FundingPips also blocks us, and we found no recent archived copy of its payout rules, so it’s left out rather than guessed.

Methodology
On 2 October 2026 we fetched each firm’s official payout article (help center or FAQ). For Take Profit Trader we used its help center’s public API. For each firm we picked one account people commonly buy: the 50K size for futures firms, and the main funded account after the standard challenge for CFD/forex firms. Then we recorded what the page says, quoting it word for word. We didn’t fill gaps from other sites, our own older pages or memory. If a rule isn’t on the page, the cell says so.
The hurdle count is our own. A “multi-day wait” means a waiting period or qualifying-days count longer than one trading day. A “buffer” means profit you must build above the starting balance before you can ask. A “dollar cap” means a fixed per-request ceiling set by the firm, not a payment-method limit. A “payout-count limit” means the account closes or stops paying after a set number of payouts. The $14,500 Apex figure is just the six published 50K caps added up. Limits: published rules aren’t the same as payouts actually approved, and firms can deny requests under their terms. Rules change often and can differ by purchase date. Check the firm’s page before you trade. Common questions
Which prop firm pays out the fastest?
On paper, MyFundedFutures Rapid (first payout 24 hours after the first trade, then daily) and Take Profit Trader PRO (day one, then daily), checked 2 October 2026. Both require you to build a buffer first: $2,100 on a 50K MFF Rapid account and a $52,000 balance on a 50K TPT PRO account.
How much can you withdraw from an Apex funded account?
On a 50K Intraday Performance Account, Apex's published caps are $1,500 for the first payout rising to $3,000 for the fifth and sixth, with a $500 minimum. The account closes after 6 payouts, so the most it can pay in total is $14,500 (Wayback copy of Apex's payout page, 26 September 2026).
What is Topstep's payout cap?
On an Express Funded Account, each request is limited to 50% of your balance up to a cap: $2,000 (Standard) or $3,000 (Consistency) on a 50K account. Accounts bought with a Daily Loss Limit under Topstep's current offer get double caps. Live Funded Account payouts aren't capped.
When can I request my first FTMO payout?
FTMO says you can request a Reward 'on the 14th or any following day after the first placed trade', with review in 1-2 business days. The 2-Step FTMO Account starts at an 80% split, rising to 90% with scaling.
Do prop firms charge fees to withdraw?
Some do. The5ers charges 3.5% per withdrawal on Rise, crypto and bank transfer. Topstep charges $30 for ACH or wire (no Topstep fee for Aeropay or Wise). Take Profit Trader charges $50 on wallet withdrawals of $250 or less. FTMO says it charges no additional commissions.
